Lady Jai calls Brooklyn home — Crooklyn, as she says it, with the reverence of someone who means every syllable. She writes what she feels, then hands it to the world without apology or explanation. Her music doesn't fit cleanly into any category, and she's made a quiet peace with that. What she makes is hers: the perspective, the pulse, the particular way she hears a moment before she turns it into sound.
